St. Cloud has a real mix of venue types. The Royal Crest Room at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links publishes a ballroom of about 4,000 sq ft with an adjacent cocktail space and an outdoor veranda. The Venue at Gentry Pines is a Florida barn style property with an indoor reception hall and a lakeside ceremony area. Heart D Farm south of town runs an open air Big Barn Pavilion with over 4,000 sq ft of covered area and a movable clear enclosure. The city itself rents the Marina Banquet Hall on Lakeshore Boulevard, which has a main hall plus a separate North Room.

How the 360 booth works

Guests step onto a low platform, an arm carries the camera around them, and the clip comes back slowed down, sped up and set to music. Each spin takes a few seconds, and the finished video goes straight to the guest by text, email or QR code, so it is on their phone while the party is still running. Groups of two or three fit on the platform together, which is usually where the best clips come from.

Where a 360 booth fits in St. Cloud

The barn and pavilion venues around St. Cloud are the ones worth planning for. Covered outdoor space is lovely for a reception and fine for a 360 booth, as long as the booth sits on a level part of the floor, under cover, and within reach of a working outlet. Grass, sloped concrete and the edge of a pavilion where rain can blow in are the three things that slow a set up down.

Clubhouse and city hall bookings are simpler. Flat floor, wall outlets, one corner of the room and we are set. For home events in the newer subdivisions on the south and east sides of town, a garage or a level driveway is usually the best spot, and it keeps the booth out of the afternoon sun.
